Description
L-valine is an essential branched-chain amino acid and the third component of a standard BCAA blend, normally present at the same proportion as isoleucine in the 2 to 1 to 1 ratio. It is supplied individually where a specific ratio is being constructed, and is used in amino acid blends, sports nutrition, clinical nutrition and animal feed. The material is a white crystalline powder with moderate solubility in water. Like the other branched-chain amino acids it has a distinctly bitter taste, so finished consumer products normally incorporate flavour and masking systems. It is stable under normal storage conditions.
