Description
Caffeine anhydrous is caffeine crystallised without water of hydration, which makes it the standard form for dry formulation because it is easier to weigh accurately and blends consistently. It is a central nervous system stimulant and is one of the most widely formulated functional ingredients in the world, appearing in energy drinks, pre-workout products, weight management formulations and tablets. The material is a white crystalline powder with a markedly bitter taste, soluble in water and more so in hot water. Caffeine is potent at low doses and many markets set maximum levels and mandatory labelling for it, so both dosing accuracy and the destination market's rules matter.
