Description
This product supplies eicosapentaenoic acid, a long-chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid, at a declared level of 10%. Dilute standardised preparations of this type are selected where a concentrated oil would be difficult to handle or to disperse, and they are used in supplement blending, functional foods and nutritional powders. As with other percentage-declared fatty acid preparations, the 10% figure describes the content of the preparation rather than a pure compound, and the carrier, physical form, source material and analytical basis differ between specifications.
