Description
Hesperidin is a flavanone glycoside found abundantly in citrus fruit, particularly in the peel and pith of oranges, and is among the most studied of the citrus bioflavonoids. This listing is standardised to a declared 95% level. It is formulated into nutraceutical and supplement products, frequently alongside other citrus bioflavonoids, and into cosmetic preparations. The material is an off-white to pale yellow powder with very low solubility in water, which is a genuine formulation constraint and is why modified or complexed forms exist for liquid applications. In dry formats such as capsules and tablets the solubility limitation is generally not an obstacle.
